Hospital raises ceremonial CORE flag to promote organ donation

Representatives from the Center for Organ Recovery and Education (C.O.R.E.) joined employees and leaders from Uniontown Hospital and representatives from local lawmakers to celebrate National Donate Life Month, Tuesday. 
According to C.O.R.E. officials, tissue and cornea donations made by organ donations at Uniontown Hospital impacted nearly 700 lives in 2017.
C.O.R.E. officials added that donating is free of cost, can still allow for an open­casket funeral arrangements and is supported by all major religions.
The ceremony was highlighted by rasing the C.O.R.E. flag outside the hosptial's Main Entrance as a public display of support for the mission of saving lives through organ donation.
