Laboratory Services
The role of the Laboratory is to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of their patients. The Laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and offers an exhaustive test menu via an esoteric testing agreement with Mayo Medical Laboratories. The Uniontown Hospital Laboratories comply with the standards of all accrediting agencies such as the College of American Pathologists, Pennsylvania Department of Health and CLIAA ‘88.
The main laboratory is staffed 24 hours a day, year round, to take care of any emergencies that may arise, and inpatient blood work is collected every day. The Laboratory is located within Uniontown Hospital. Outpatients may use the hospital Laboratory for blood collection from 7 AM to 8 PM Monday through Friday and 7 AM to 3:30 PM on Saturdays. Patients may also visit the Lab at Hopwood Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 11 AM for their laboratory needs.
