General Radiology

All inpatient, outpatient and emergency diagnostic X-ray procedures are performed in the Radiology Department.

The Radiology Department is a 24-hour imaging service that uses state-of-the-art X-ray producing equipment to generate images of the tissues, organs, bones and vessels of the body, as prescribed by physicians, to assist in the diagnosis of disease or injury. Procedures are also performed at the patient’s bedside using mobile radiographic equipment, in surgical suites through the use of mobile fluoroscopic (C-arm) units, as well as in the Emergency Department, recovery room and Intensive Care Unit. Imaging procedures are performed by adapting the variable technical parameters of the procedure to the condition of the patient, assuring minimal radiation exposure to patients and personnel.
