Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care Services, in collaboration with the members of the Health Care Team, offer to identify, refer, assess, and provide for the spiritual needs of patients, their families and staff. It is the role and task of the Pastoral Care staff to recognize and explore the relationship between and among the healing process, experience of illness, including cultural and social factors, and the expression of spirituality. This staff will work together and assist with hospital-staff education and provide a spiritual presence in the hospital.

Clergy members may visit during regular visiting hours. At your request, staff will notify your pastor of your admission. Volunteer pastors offer spiritual care and support to patients, family and staff. To request a visit by a member of the hospital’s Pastoral Care Program, dial the operator at (724) 430-5000.
