ChapelOur non-denominational Interfaith Chapel, located adjacent to the main lobby, is open 24 hours a day for patients, visitors, clergy and staff.
Fire SafetyFire drills are routinely held at the hospital to help keep our staff prepared for such an emergency. Do not become frightened should you hear a fire alarm. Remain where you are unless otherwise instructed by hospital personnel.
Gift CartA gift cart provided and staffed by volunteers is circulated to each floor from 12:30 PM to 3 PM daily, except Sunday. The cart is stocked with an array of magazines, candy, toiletries, flowers and other amenities. Please consult your nurse before purchasing food or drinks.
Gift ShopOur Gift Shop, located off the lobby on the main floor of the hospital, is open from 7:30 AM to 8 PM Monday through Friday and 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM Saturday and Sunday. Greeting cards, snacks, beverages, toiletries, clothing, newspapers, books and a variety of gifts are available.
GratuitiesEvery member of your healthcare team is dedicated to your care. A simple "thank you" is the most appropriate expression of your appreciation for their services. Staff members may not accept gratuities. However, you may make a tax-deductible donation to the Uniontown Hospital Foundation. Your contribution will be used to support programs and services, memorialize a loved one, or to honor a friend or relative. You may also make a legal bequest to the Foundation as beneficiary of your will or your insurance policy. Contributions should be made payable to the Uniontown Hospital Foundation. LoungeSeating and lounge areas are provided throughout the hospital for patient and visitor convenience. A large seating area is located in the lobby on the main floor, and central seating is offered for patients visiting laboratory, physical rehabilitation, respiratory care and cardiac diagnostics department on the first floor. A special area with private, comfortable accommodations is provided on the third floor for family members and friends of patients in the intensive care unit as well as in surgery. Lounges on the medical/surgical floors are also clearly designated.
Mail and FlowersMail and flowers are delivered directly to patient rooms. Any mail received after you are discharged will be forwarded to your home. If you have outgoing mail, simply give it to your nurse.

Patient Care Management ServicesMany illnesses or injuries requiring hospitalization entail accompanying emotional, financial or social problems or concerns. To help patients and family members successfully cope with these concerns, we offer an array of Patient Care Management Services. Among the capabilities of our social work services staff are counseling, discharge planning (including arranging for nursing care, home health care or home medical equipment) and securing the assistance of community resources. Surgical Information Waiting AreaFamily and friends of patients having surgery can comfortably wait in the SameDay Surgery Department located on the third floor until the procedure is completed. Staff is available to keep loved ones informed about the patient's condition.
TelephonesTelephone service is available in your room at no charge. Local calls may be made at no charge. Uniontown Hospital has selected AT&T Long Distance Service for long distance, person-to-person, collect or credit card calls. Dial 9 + 0 + AREA CODE + TELEPHONE NUMBER to make these types of calls. Dial 9 + 1+ AREA CODE + NUMBER for station-to-station calls.
You have the right to reach other long distance carriers from your telephone. You can do so by dialing 9 + the access code for that carrier.
Family and friends may call your room directly by dialing 430 and the four-digit number on your telephone. Incoming calls are connected to your phone from 7 AM to 10:30 PM. Outgoing calls may be placed at any time.

For your convenience, televisions are provided free of charge in all patient rooms. When using the television, please be considerate of others by keeping the volume at a low level, particularly at night.
ValuablesOn admission, please send all valuables and money home. A hospital safe is available if necessary. If you choose not to protect these items, you must then assume responsibility. You must also assume responsibility for clothing, dentures, eyeglasses, contact lenses, hearing aids, credit cards and other valuables left in your room.
Vending MachinesVisitors may use the vending machines located on the main floor near the chapel, in the Emergency Department waiting area, in the hallway outside of Diagnostic Imaging, on the third floor near the Family Beginnings Birthing Center and on the basement (B) level near the cafeteria.
