Hospital again offers free shredding service for Earth Week

04/17/2017

On Friday, April 21, 2017, Uniontown Hospital will partner with Shred-It, the hospital’s document shredding company, to provide free shredding services to securely destroy paper documents.

Local residents are invited to participate in this free service by bringing old or unwanted documents to the hospital to safely dispose of forms, files, receipts or any other paperwork they no longer need that is of a confidential nature.

In addition, the service will include the destruction of unwanted hard drives and digital storage devices.

This community shredding event will begin at 10 a.m. and will continue to 2 p.m.

The Shred-It truck will be located by the Emergency Department parking lot near the main entrance of the hospital.

“The annual shredding event is something that the community really takes advantage of and we are happy to provide this service,” Community Relations Manager Josh Krysak said. “The Green Team, and the entire hospital staff, is committed to making a healthy difference by being the best stewards we can for our campus and our community.”

The Green Team was formed at Uniontown Hospital in 2009 and is focused on improving the environmental well-being of the hospital and the community through education initiatives and through encouraging behavior and habits that are environmentally friendly.
